South End Sausage Water System

Applicant proposes this new water system to supply potable water to commercial facility South End Sausage. Drilled well is located close to the property entrance from Isabella Point Road. Well does not have a well tag. Well head and stick up is adequate. Onsite septic system is located 100' away. Chemical and bacteriological parameters for December 2, 2021 analysis meet the guidelines for Canadian Water Quality. GARP assessment conducted December 17, 2021. Issue permit conditions: 1. Implement a plan that is approved by the DWO to meet all of the requirements in the “Drinking Water Treatment Objectives (Microbiological) for Ground Water Supplies in British Columbia” by June 30, 2022. 2. Well construction must meet the required standards under the Ground Water Protection Regulation (GWPR). 3. A bacteriological monitoring program is adhered to in accordance with the requirements of the district DWO and provincial legislation. 4. A construction permit issued by a Public Health Engineer (PHE) must be applied for, and received, before any construction, installation, or alteration of the water supply system is commenced.
