Critical Inadequate Treatment

Water system treatment currently does not meet the British Columbia Surface Water Treatment Objective and the Drinking Water Protection Act. Boil Water Notice continues to be in effect for the system in its entirety.

Corrective Actions: Treatment system is required to come into compliance with the British Columbia Surface Water Treatment Objectives. Our office will be in contact with direction regarding time-frames and action required to come into compliance. Continue to follow Boil Water Notice (BWN) precautions, ensuring all water system users are informed of the Notice upon arrival to the campground, are reminded of the Notice on at least an annual basis (for those staying year-round), and that BWN signage is posted and legible at all water system standpipes.

319

Non-Critical Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data

The most recent full (general) chemical/physical analysis of the raw (untreated) source water is from 2016. A full chemical/physical analysis is due at least every five year.

Corrective Actions: Full chemical/physical analysis to be conducted for source water (sampled from pumphouse hose bib) by and accredited lab and results forwarded to DWO for review by September 30, 2025.

322

Non-Critical Emergency Response Plan

Emergency Response Plan is currently out of date and not easily accessible to operators. Drought response Plan has not been completed and forwarded to the DWO for review.

Corrective Actions: Emergency Response Pan is to be updated, forwarded to DWO by July 15, 2025 and a copy kept in an easily accessible location for operators (e.g. treatment container). Drought Response Plan is to be developed and forwarded to DWO by July 15, 2025

Comments
Submit to DWO a detailed up-to-date water system distribution site plan that indicates all branches of the distribution system, location of all septic systems, holding tanks and outhouses, water treatment plant, permanent structures, lake intake, docks, driveways, and garbage disposal, as well as any other pertinent information. Source and System Assessment tool document is to be completed and forwarded to DWO for review ( document template to be proved to operator). Annual report for 2024 operational year is due by June 30, 2025. Template will be sent to operator. Bacteriological monitoring program for water system will be discussed with operator, with sampling locations and sampling frequencies to be determined at a later date.
