Comments
Routine inspection conducted alongside trained operator and SD64 Operations Supervisor. System services the Saturna Ecological Centre School (SEEC) on a seasonal basis (September to June, inclusive); 3 connections. Source water is Haggis Lake. Current train - intake (3ft depth), Nexsand filter, 1 micron (nominal) cartridge filter, chlorination, storage (500 USG reservoir), ANSI/NSF 55 Class A UV unit, distribution to users. Chlorine residual maintained at or above 0.2ppm as per permit conditions. Turbidity maintained at or below 1 NTU (NOTE: turbidity is monitored using a Milwaukee Mi 415 test kit with output in FNU. FNU to NTU conversion is 1:1). Turbidity and chlorine residual monitored daily as per Operating Permit Terms and Conditions. Logs are well maintained. Discussed Surface Water Treatment Objectives (SWTO) during inspection. Letter with further information to follow.
