- Inadequate Treatment - Well is now assessed to be At Risk (GARP) under the Guidance Document for Determining Ground Water At Risk Of Containing Pathogens. Notice of Assessment included with this report.

Corrective Actions: - By October 6 2025 provide our office a plan and proposed time frame to comply with Assessment, become approved to remove Boil Water Notice and comply with Drinking Water Treatment Objectives (microbiological) for Ground Water Supplies in British Columbia.

- November 4 2024 Inspection Report provided direction to provide current Emergency Response Plan by June 3 2025 as required under Drinking Water Protection Act and regulation. Our Office has not received update.

Follow-up Inspection Notes: - Water system remains on Boil Water Notice since September 13 2021 (repeat direction) - Any upgrades, alterations or extensions of the water system requires a Construction Permit or Waiver from the Public Health Engineer.(repeat direction). - Notice of Proposed Terms and Conditions of Operating Permit has been issued with this report, providing 30 days to provide comment. before final decision is made. - The next full chemistry test of the Well is required May 2026 meeting all parameters required by Island Health and Local Drinking Water Officer delegate. - Distribution and Well sample sites need to be set up so they are adequately protected from cross-contamination and easy to flush and sanitize. (repeat direction) Action Required: Provide updates regarding actions required in the November 5 2024 Routing Inspection Report. - Well Cap not attached to Well Casing. - Wooden box dug next to Well Casing with surface water flooded needs to be corrected. All surface water should drain away from the Wellhead. and not pool next to Well. A Well driller should verify surface seal around Wellhead remains acceptable. - Putting in place barriers at Well to protect Wellhead from potential vehicle damage. - Correcting direct cross-connection from fire protection storage tank (non-potable) to potable water storage tank (potable) (block and bleed valve assembly was recommended at potential option). NOTE: Direction from our office is for 1 on-site water system operator to complete Thompson University Water Safe online or EOCP Small Water System Operator Training.
