Non-Critical Inadequate Microbiological Analysis data

-Microbiological sampling has been occurring from a post-treatment tap only (pre-distribution) and no bacteriological sampling has been done from the distribution system.

Corrective Actions: - Drinking Water Office and operator discussed commencing sampling from a site within the distribution system. Resources regarding sampling protocols to be sent by DWO (Drinking Water Office) to operator.

Non-Critical Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data

- The last full (general) chemical / physical analysis of the untreated (raw) source water of the shallow well was done in 2015. Full chemical / physical analysis of source water is due at least every five years

Corrective Actions: - Full chemical / physical analysis to be conducted of the untreated source water by December 31 2025 through an accredited lab and results are to be forwarded to the DWO (Drinking Water Office) for review.

-Water system does not have a written Emergency Response Plan in place.

Corrective Actions: - Operator to develop a written Emergency Response Plan and submit to DWO(Drinking Water Office) for review. - Drought Response Plan was received from operator on January 31 2024 and is to be reviewed annually



Comments
General Comments: - Water system is currently on a Boil Water Notice, issued July 17 2018. Discussed Notice and measures taken. Boil Water Notice signage was present at campground entrance and all tenants of R.V. Park have been informed. Boil Water Notice continues to be in effect until rescinded by DWO (Drinking Water Office). - Discussed microbiological sampling sites. Once confirmation from DWO (Drinking Water Office) is received by operator, operator to begin sampling at raw (untreated) sample site as well as one distribution sampling site. Current sampling location (post-treatment)/Pre-Distribution) will be considered inactive but can be changed to an active sampling site in future if the need arises. - Discussed operator training. Operator indicated she will complete WaterSafeBC training course through Thompson Rivers University. Completion date of this training to be discussed. Water system has two other operators available , one of whom has training. Operator to send to DWO (Drinking Water Office ) contact information for other operators. - Source-To-Tap Tool for water system to be completed; template will be provided to operator by DWO in near future. - Discussed Ground Water at Risk of Containing Pathogens (GARP) Determination Assessment for shallow dug well water source. DWO to send resources to operator for reference. Please connect with DWO with any questions. **Operating Permit to be issued for water system; Notice of Proposed terms and Conditions for operating permit will be sent to operator for review prior to issuance.
