A Routine Inspection was conducted alongside system operator - Water system consists of 2 wells (Well inside the winery field is the primary well, Well closest to the road is a reserve well that is not in use). Primary well stickup is sealed, protected and clearly marked in the field. This system does not have storage before distribution. Operator indicated that most of the houses on the system has their individual storage tanks. This has resulted in some difficulty in measuring proper chlorine concentration and bacteriological results. As a result, operator currently sampling two samples a month (sampling site requisition updated to reflect correct sampling frequency). EHO and operator discussed potentially testing from the end of the line in the future for a more accurate measurement of chlorine and bacteriological effects. Chlorine used as a disinfectant. Concentration of chlorine and residuals are monitored and recorded by the operator. Detailed maintenance records and logs are kept in the pump house and sent to EHO for records. Bacteriological sampling is conducted monthly - 12 routine samples received in the past twelve months. In 2022, there were one instance of total coliform resulted when testing water that did not have adequate concentration of chlorine mixed in, and one instance of overgrown cultures. Both were re-sampled and results were satisfactory. Last chemical analysis conducted in August 2019 - Please send updated Chemical Analysis in the next 12 months. Annual Report for the 2022 calendar year has been submitted to this office. Updated Emergency Response Plan is available - a copy has been provided to this office.
