Description
Non-Critical Inadequate or improper construction of water works
a. The wellhead requires additional protection from nearby hazards including but not limited to: a garbage dumpster, parking spaces, and accumulated construction debris. All sources of potential contamination must be removed from the immediate vicinity of the well head and where possible, these should be removed from within 30m/100ft of the wellhead. b. The wellhead requires additional protection from vehicular traffic, as it is located within an active driveway and parking area. Provide physical protection of the wellhead by installing an appropriate barrier to protect it from the vehicle hazard. Submit a proposal to this office outlining your plan toward this requirement. c. The pump house requires floors, walls, and ceilings that are tight fitting, smooth, non-porous, and maintained in a sanitary condition. Resurface or replace the surfaces within the pump house to achieve this standard. Implement a rodent control program to protect the infrastructure and surfaces within the pump house from contamination. Ensure that the sampling port in the pump house has an adequate route of drainage so that water damage to surfaces does not occur.
Non-Critical Inadequate Microbiological Analysis data
The required sampling frequency for this water supply system is changing to semi-monthly. That means the water system sampler will submit water samples for testing to this office 2 times each month, usually 2 weeks apart. Continue to collect samples from the designated water sample site “Owner’s Kitchen Sink Tap” until such time as the DWO provides alternate direction.
Non-Critical Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data
Every 3 to 5 years, a full spectrum chemical analysis of the water supply is due to this office. Results of a chemical analysis of your water supply system have not been received by this office. Collect a representative sample of the raw/untreated ground water for chemical analysis and submit the chemistry results to this office. This sample should be collected before the water passes through any filters or the UV light unit.
Non-Critical Emergency Response Plan
Corrective Actions: Emergency Response Plans must be updated at least yearly or whenever the water system or contacts of the water system change. The most current ERP on file in this office is undated, and is incomplete. Submit your updated ERP to this office, ensuring it is signed and dated by the operator.
Non-Critical Other
Corrective Actions: Please provide a drawing or schematic of the property, including all components of the water supply system and distribution, any structures or residences, the sewerage system, and lot lines.
