Non-Critical Inadequate or improper construction of water works

Corrective Actions: 1. Submit an updated schematic of the water system. Include parts and specifications. 2. Last chem/phys on file from 2019. Are to be conducted every 5 years. UV Transmittance and Colour high from 2019. Need to determine if raw source water quality is interfering with UV system that is not being addressed with current setup (operator mentioned slight discoloration on UV during last maintenance). Conduct a file search and discuss with your water treatment specialist to determine if more recent chem/phys analysis was taken. If not, then will need to sample. Discuss with Environmental Health Officer on parameters prior to sampling.

Comments
Well (224 ft/68.3 m deep). No plate or ID tag located. Suspect this well is tag 27575/ID Plate 17222 based on 2017 Well Construction Report from Min FLNRO. Located 1-2 m from pumphouse under covered box. At least 2 foot stickup. - No signs of ponding or accumulating water at wellhead at time of inspection. - Services clubhouse/restaurant, shop, maintenance shed and residence. - Treatment has been added without notification/approval from this department. At this time, system is determined to be non-GARP - At Low Risk. - UV system is in alarm at the time of inspection. Operator conducting ongoing maintenance to address alarm. - System is as follows: Well ? Softeners ? Filter (Big Blue) ? UV NSF 55A ? Distribution. - Irrigation is on a separate well and system. With no reported cross-connections. Irrigation well is located inside pumphouse. Well tag attached. Irrigation Well (217 ft/66.1 m deep, Tag 50569, ID 17223). - Complete Violations 314, 317 and 323 by June 1, 2023. - It is recommended for operator to followup with FLRNO re: well tag/groundwater licensing as per DW Well Report (2017). In compliance: - Last bacteriological samples (Raw - Quarterly. Kitchen - Monthly) results acceptable. - Last chemical/physical analysis taken in 2019 (see 317-3). - New operator is being cross-trained. Procedures appear to be in place and posted. Any renovations, changes, extensions, etc. to water system need to be reviewed and approved by this department prior to implementation (unless general routine maintenance or emergency repairs). Discuss with Environmental Health Officer.
