Well (Plate No. 27308) is a drilled, deep well, with 24in stick up, located next to a storage shed. Well cap is secure and in good condition, plate ID is located on the casing stick up. This area is also used for firewood and other storage. Please ensure all debris and materials are cleared away from the well to protect the well from contamination and for monitoring/inspection purposes. An updated Emergency Response Plan has been submitted, thank you. The septic system is greater than 200 ft away and is located on the adjacent property at 880 Island Hwy E. There was no pump house or reservoir shown during the inspection on this property and one is not indicated on the map submitted. Previous reports and pictures show that this well is not servicing the system but connected to reservoir on 892 Island Hwy E. Operator has resubmitted signed Drinking Water Application for this source well and intends to have it operate as a separate and independent system to serve the houses located on 884 and 880 Island Hwy E. To confirm the distribution system of this property for this system to be permitted, information on the proposed treatment systems and a detailed site map of the system needs to be submitted. Full application checklist for Source Approval was provided on site and is available Online. A Ground Water at Risk of Pathogens (GARP Assessment) will be completed for this system after all required information has been received. The operator says complete chemical parameters have been analyzed by an approved laboratory for this system, thank you. Please provide a copy to our Office for review as part of your application. For bacteriological samples, only samples of raw, untreated and unchlorinated water will be accepted. This means the chlorine amount will have to be 0ppm for a sample to be taken if any shock chlorination was recently completed on the system. Untreated water is required to understand the baseline of ground water quality and is needed to complete the GARP Assessment. Please provide the additional information required in full, for each system, as soon as possible, or by the deadline of June 1, 2025 at the latest.
