1. Well cap was not secure and lifted off during the inspection. Door to pump house is missing. 2. Some accumulation of motors, chemical storage and other storage items 3m from the well pump house next to the garage.

Corrective Actions: 1. Please ensure cap is secure and/or replace the door to the pump house to prevent access. Date to be corrected by: As soon as possible, latest by May 15, 2025. 2. Remove any chemical, oil, gas or other debris and storage to protect the well head and aquifer. Date to be corrected by: June 30, 2025.

Comments

Routine Inspection was conducted on site with the Operator. Well (ID No. 23215, Tag 108109) supplies 1 connection to the single dwelling family house with Tattoo Studio located inside the home, within in a suite. Water is used for hand washing sink in the studio and for the client bathroom. Drinking water is not provided to clients from this source, clients are offered bottle water and beverages. Operator plans on placing a pre-manufactured building next to the main house to be used as the future Tattoo Studio. Water connection will be from the house to this outbuilding and not directly connected from the well pump house. Sewage will be connected to the existing on site system. Comments/Observations: -Well is located inside a pump house downslope of the property. Pump house is in good repair. -Well stick up is about 3ft, graded away from the well. -Records show there is a bentonite seal to 15ft depth -There is a neighbouring well about 50ft away on the neighbour's property. -No treatment on the system. -No cistern for water storage. -Septic field and tank are located more than 100ft away from the well. Other Notes: -The previous Level 1 GARP Assessment determined this source is GARP-Viruses Only. Treatment/disinfection options were previously discussed with the operator in 2021 along with potential to have cistern installed to supply the facility only. There is no current treatment/disinfection plan in place. If the operator chooses to install treatment, please contact the Health Office for a Construction Permit. -The system has been on a Boil Water Advisory (BWA) since September 2021. Due to repeat Total Coliform and/or E.coli counts, will continue to be on BWA until an adequate treatment system is installed. Hand washing and toilet use is acceptable but the operator and clients should use hand sanitizer after hand washing. -Emergency Response Plan last updated in July 2021. -Last full spectrum chemical analysis completed July 2021 and the frequency of testing has been achieved. Note that this is due every 5 years, the next chemical analysis should be completed July 2026. -Note high iron levels above the Aesthetic Objectives (no maximum in Guidelines). -There have been no other incidents or complaints in the last year.
