Water system is supplied by Campbell Spring surface water. Construction Permit has been issued to authorize a new treatment system consisting of filtration, ozonation, and UV disinfection. System operator confirmed that the construction has not been completed (CP valid until 14 July 2026), and the water system is currently in use on a Boil Water Notice. Operating Permit issued to set water system to open status and place on Boil Water Notice. Conditions of Permit: 1. All water intended for domestic purposes (human consumption and food preparation) must be boiled (rolling boil for at least one minute) as the water supply system currently does not have a treatment/disinfection system in place to make the water potable, or; 2. All water intended for domestic purposes (human consumption and food preparation) is to be from an approved potable source (bottled water), and; 3. Water must be treated in accordance with the Ministry of Health Drinking Water Treatment Objectives (Microbiological) for Surface Water in B.C. by 14 July 2026, to achieve the following: • 4 log removal/inactivation of viruses • 3 log removal/inactivation of Giardia cysts and Cryptosporidium oocysts • 2 treatment processes, one of which is filtration • 1 NTU turbidity (maximum) in finished water
