Well construction unsatisfactory and does not meet the Groundwater Protection Regulation standards. Well is located in a pit, well cap not secure.
Corrective Actions: Well upgrades to be addressed as part of GARP Assessment.
Comments
Routine inspection conducted of a two connection water system servicing a private dwelling and lane house. Source water is a deep well (Tag #48844), no storage, no treatment or disinfection. Monthly samples are submitted as required. System is currently on a longterm Boil Water Advisory (as of Novemeber 8, 2024) due to unsatisfactory sample results. Sample taken on July 6, 2026 at time of inspection. Discussed proper sampling procedures with operator. Emergency response plan and drought plan submitted on October 7, 2024. Annual report for 2025 received on June 10, 2026.
Ground Water at Risk of Containing Pathogens (GARP) Assessment to be completed by Drinking Water Officer.
