Non-Critical Inadequate Chemical Analysis Data
The full 5-year chemical/physical analysis of the source water (deep well) was due September 2025.
Corrective Actions: A full 5-year chemical/physical analysis of the source water (untreated) is to be done by December 15, 2025 through an accredited lab and results are to be forwarded to the Drinking Water Officer (DWO) for review. DWO to send operator a resource regarding parameters that are required to be included.
Comments
General Comments:
- Area around wellhead is to be kept clear of vegetation; vegetation has become overgrown around wellhead.
- Maintenance plan/schedule is to be developed for the water system and forwarded to the DWO for review. Plan/schedule is to include regular checks around wellhead to ensure there are no potential contamination sources present with 100 feet from well.
- Discussed sampling from the raw water tap located inside the wellhouse, as opposed to the hose bib located outside of the wellhouse.
- Bacteriological sampling is being done as per the required frequency. Occasional presence of total coliform reported for the deep well.
- Discussed regular (annual) maintenance of the well and distribution system, such as chlorine shocking and flushing.
- It is recommended to contact the Groundwater Protection Officer to ensure all requirements related to the artesian nature of the well are being met.
