Corrective Actions Required: Ensure all staff's interactions ensure the health, safety and dignity of children in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On June 15, 2026, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. On June 19, 2026, Licensee submitted a revised Corrective Action Plan to Licensing. The revised corrective action plan included a revised Behavioral Guidance Policy that is committed to providing a safe, caring, healthy, and inclusive environment where children are supported in developing self-esteem, self regulation, social responsibility, and positive relationships with others. All staff signed this policy on June 10, 2026, and a copy of the policy was sent to all daycare families. The staff involved in this incident will have a three month evaluation conducted with input from coworkers regarding the management and care when dealing with children's challenging behaviors by September 30, 2026. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Regarding intake May 29, 2026. Through the investigation process, Licensing determined the Licensee did not ensure a staff's interactions with a child ensured the health, safety and dignity of a child in care.

Description: A licensee must ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure all staff follow the behavioral guidance practices at the facility that support a child's dignity and well being and prohibits practices that are demeaning or involve physical handling for the purpose of compliance. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On June 15, 2026, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. On June 19, 2026, Licensee submitted a revised Corrective Action Plan to Licensing. The revised corrective action plan included a revised Behavioral Guidance Policy that is committed to providing a safe, caring, healthy, and inclusive environment where children are supported in developing self-esteem, self regulation, social responsibility, and positive relationships with others. All staff signed this policy on June 10, 2026, and a copy of the policy was sent to all daycare families. The staff involved in the incident will complete four online courses regarding managing children's behaviour and will provide Licensing with completed course certificates by July 1, 2026. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: On July 6, 2026, Licensing conducted an on site inspection and observed all staff had signed the revised Behavioral Guidance Policy and the policy had been provided to all families. The staff involved in the incident had completed four on line courses related to positive guidance techniques.
