Observations: Licensing observed the children's helmets were all stored in a plastic tote. This was corrected during the inspection.
3000 - CCLR 17

Observations: Licensing observed heavy items stored in the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) in the bathroom, cubby area, nap room and kitchen. In the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age), there were heavy items stored on top of shelves in three rooms and two shelves, measuring over four feet were not secured to the wall. In the outdoor play area, there were blackberry bushes and holly accessible to the children.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Entanglement)
Description: Equipment is free of entanglement hazards in areas of uncontrolled motion. (Something around the child’s neck becomes caught on equipment)

Observations: Entanglement test device did not pass on the large side of the double side of the Little Tykes double slide. The above noted item represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. The manager removed the slide this date.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Inspected)
Description: Thorough daily, monthly and annual inspections, as well as maintenance and repairs of the outdoor play area are performed and recorded

3040 - CCLR 53(1)(a)
Description: If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child’s parent or in the child’s record or care plan

Description: A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a)name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number (MSP number does not apply to REC only) and immunization status.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure a daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
