Observations: Licensing observed that no character references had been obatined for a volunteer music teacher present on this date.

Description: If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child’s parent or in the child’s record or care plan

Observations: Licensing audited six children files; one file contained a medication form that indicated medication should be administered "as needed" and did not specify a time for medication to be given. A second medication form for a child contained a record that the medication was administered by a staff but did not have a record specified by a parent on how to administer the medication.
