Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: On September 22, 2022 an amendment was issued. The facility is now licensed as School Age Care on School Grounds.

Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing observed that the water temperature of the sink in the main room of portable was 54 degrees Celsius. This poses and immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care. A Health and Safety Plan is to be submitted by August 9, 2022 at 9:00am. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Depth)
Description: Depth guidelines for loose fill material (if protective surfacing used) :
minimum 15 cm (6”) for 1.5 metre (5’) equipment height
minimum 30 cm (12”) for 2.3 metre (7’) equipment height
(Consider surfacing table, Triax, etc.)
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure depth guidelines for protective surfacing of equipment 5 feet in height is a minimum of 6 inches.

Observations: Licensing observed the depth of pea gravel was 1-4 inches around platforms and climbing structures that were 6ft 3in high.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: On December 14, 2022, Manager emailed Licensing with documents attached. Documents received indicated that record of immunization status was obtained for one child.
