Observations: Licensing observed an axe in the backyard that was tucked away, but accessible, behind a wood chopping stump.
3010 - CCLR 19(1)(a)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person

3010 - CCLR 20(1)
Description: The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

Observations: Licensing observed that at least one adult lives upstairs and another stays on site sporadically. Neither adult has a valid criminal record check on file.
3010 - CCLR 23(1)(a)
Description: A licensee must ensure that children have at all times immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, provided on completion of a course that meets the requirements of Schedule C,

Observations: Licensing observed that no First Aid was on file or produced on site. According to past inspections, the Licensee's First Aid expired.
3020 - CCLR 56(1)(d)
Description: A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: written policies and procedures that are intended to guide employees in the care and supervision of children
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that a Screen Time Policy has been developed and shared with families. All licensed child care programs limit screen time (TV, Ipads, etc.) to 30 minutes per day or less.
