3010 - DOLSOP (Prevent Overdose Deaths Training)
Description: Licensee Training Licensee must receive training in the administration of Naloxone from their pharmacist, and must ensure that their staff also receive appropriate training
Corrective Actions Required:
Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing received an email confirmation that the palliative person in care requiring opioids for pain relief was transferred to hospital where he subsequently passed away. His opioid medications have been returned to the pharmacy.
Actions Required By Licensing: No further action required; this contravention has been addressed.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing was advised via email that the person in care requiring opioids for pain use was transferred to hospital and his medications returned to the pharmacy. Licensee has decided to train staff at a later date.
