Description: A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. Actions Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Actions Required by Licensing: between May 15 and May 21, 2025, Manager submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: bikes and helmets had been removed from the program. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Regarding intake dated March 21, 2025. Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that there were four bikes that had no padding on the handle and there was a helmet that did not have a strap to close the latch.

Description: A licensee must ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance. Actions Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Actions Required by Licensing: Between May 15 and May 21, 2025, Manager submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: the behavioural guidance policy was updated to indicate staff would not grab toys from children and other strategies would be implemented. Licensing received confirmation that staff had read the behaviour guidance policy during a staff meeting on May 16, 2025. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Regarding intake dated March 21, 2025. Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that staff moved children physically and grabbed toys from children when they had taken it from another child.

Actions Required by Licensing: Between May 15 and 21, 2025, Manager submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: staff would safeguard children from abuse by staff, parents, and children. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
