Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing measured the water and observed it measured 50.4 degrees Celsius at the time of inspection. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of the children in care and must be corrected immediately. Licensing requested a health and safety plan to mitigate the immediate risk to health and safety. Licensee stated that she would turn the hot water off at the laundry room sink and children would only use the bathroom sink for hand washing. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
