Description: A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to their health or safety. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On February 5 and 10, 2026, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: outdoor play space being inspected for water hazards before the children have access to the play space, medications stored in a locked container, and the fire place manufacturer instructions being followed regarding safety recommendations and only being used when there is direct supervision, with a safety gate in front. Additionally, the fireplace would be turned off when the group transitioned out of the room or outside. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing conducted unscheduled inspections on February 18 and 27, 2026, and observed the corrective action plan being followed. Licensing will continue to monitor this plan.

Observations: Related to intake dated January 12, 2026. Through the investigation process, Licensing determined the following hazards were accessible to children: fireplace accessible to children and hot to touch, stagnant water in the outdoor play space, and medication accessible to children.

Description: A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure the Licensee operates the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care, specifically, following the terms and conditions on the licence. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On February 5, 2026, the Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: The Licensee would personally provide care and remain the primary caregiver responsible for the day-to-day operation, supervision of children, staff oversight, and compliance with all licensing requirements. Any planned or emergency absence of the Licensee would be time-limited, infrequent, and managed in accordance with the Community Care Assisted Living Act and Child Care Licensing Regulation, and families would be notified if the Licensee would be absent. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing conducted unscheduled inspections on February 5, 18 and 27, 2026, and observed the Licensee on site personally providing the care to children. Licensing will continue to monitor this corrective action plan.
