Description: A licensee must ensure that all bathrooms have slip resistant material on the bottom of each bathtub and shower,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that all bathrooms have slip resistant material on the bottom of each bathtub and shower.
Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing received an email from the Manager with a copy of a photograph of a slip resistant material placed on the bottom of the bathtub.

Observations: Licensing toured the facility and observed the tub room did not have a slip resistant material on the bottom surface.

Description: A licensee must provide the following appropriately furnished and equipped areas: secure, safe and adequate storage areas for cleaning agents, chemical products and other hazardous materials

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing received an email from the Manager stating the one cleaning agent in the tub room had been moved to the chemical storage room. In addition, the Manager posted a memorandum for all staff to review, stating all chemicals had to be securely stored at all times. Licensing received a copy of this memorandum.

Description: A care plan must include all of the following: in the case of a person in care who receives a type of care described as Long Term Care or who may be prone to falling, a fall prevention plan, which must address a plan for following up on any falls suffered by a person in care

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing received a fax from the Manager with a copy of one person in care's care plan. The care plan included a plan for following up on any falls suffered by the person in care.

Description: A licensee must ensure that a person in care’s medication is returned to the dispensing pharmacy if the expiry date on the medication has passed.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing received an email from the Manager stating the three expired medications observed at the time of the Routine Inspection was securely stored away for the pharmacy to pick up and the persons in care no longer required those medications.
