Observations: Licensing observed stairs from play yard to second floor deck does not have a railing on one side or a gate blocking children from accessing.

Description: A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensee stated that the facility is located in downstairs of the home and the stairs are not used.
Actions Required By Licensing: No further action required; this contravention has been addressed.

Description: For equipment over 45 cm (18”) but less than 1.5 metres (5’), protective surfacing is recommended
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure equipment over 45 cm (18") but less than 1.5 metres (5'), has protective surfacing.

Observations: Licensee installed a composite climber with slide, climbing wall and infant swing on grass. The fall height is 50 inches requiring protective surfacing.

Description: For equipment over 45 cm (18”) but less than 1.5 metres (5’), protective surfacing is recommended
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure equipment over 45 cm (18") but less than 1.5 metres (5'), has protective surfacing.
Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensee states that grass covers the fall area and fall zone is less than three feet. Surfacing for equipment under three feet is recommended but not required.
Actions Required By Licensing: No further action required; this contravention has been addressed.
