Observations: Observations: Licensing observed video monitor that is currently being used at night to monitor one person in care. There was no signage advising video surveillance is in use.

Description: A licensee must ensure that all furniture and equipment for use by persons in care are maintained in a good state of repair,

Observations: Licensing observed a cabinet containing the locked safes in the main living space with a door that was broken and could be a potential hazard.

Description: If a person in care refuses or is unable to be weighed, the licensee must record in the nutrition plan of the person in care the reason why the person in care was not weighed
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure the reason why the weight of person in care was not taken is documented in their nutrition plan.

Observations: Licensing reviewed weight records for persons in care. One had only 3 weights recorded in the past 6 months and the other person in care had 4 weights recorded in the past 6 months. The reason why weights were not recorded monthly was not documented.
3070 - RCR 83(4)(c)
Description: Subject to subsection (5), a licensee, other than a licensee who provides a type of care described as Hospice, must record the weight in the nutrition plan of the person in care.
