3000 - CCLR 15(1)(b)
Description: A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are located so as not to block or hamper an exit in the case of fire or other emergency (except SACSG only).

Observations: Licensing observed a child sleeping in front of the door when Licensing arrived. Licensing had to open the door slowly to gain access and have the child moved from the front door.
3010 - CCLR 19(1)(a)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure CRC's are obtained for all staff.

3010 - CCLR 19(4)(a)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a valid certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry

Observations: Licensing observed an Early Childhood Educator and a Responsible Adult, in a support role, with eleven children on arrival. There was no ECEA present.
3050 - CCLR 48(5)
Description: A licensee must ensure that safe drinking water is available to children.

Observations: Licensing observed the corrective action plan of running the water for two minutes and recording had not been recorded for 6 days.
3060 - CCALA 7(1)(b)(i)
Description: A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure corrective action plan for lead in water is followed and the two minute flush is being recorded daily.

Observations: Licensing observed that the Corrective Action for Lead in Water had not been recorded. The Manager stated that the facility does a two minute flush daily but they have not been recorded.
3070 - CCLR 58(2)(a)
Description: The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
