Observations: Licensing observed that a laundry facility used by persons in care did not have a slip resistant floor surface.
3000 - RCR 69(3)(b)(ii)
Description: A licensee must ensure that in the case of a person in care whose short term care plan or care plan provides for the person in care to self-administer medication, the person in care stores all medications in the storage area described in subparagraph (i).

Observations: Licensing observed that a room of a person in care, who self-administered medication, contained three blister packs of medication that were not securely stored in the locked storage provided by the Licensee.

Observations: Licensing observed that the kitchen cupboards and fridge were locked and persons in care did not have access. Staff stated that one person in care had behaviours that made it unsafe to have unrestricted access to food. The Licensee stated that this behaviour was not included in the person in care's care plan.
