Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing measured the water at 30.5 degrees Celsius in the four rooms with sinks accessible to children in care. Licensee Contact stated that the sinks regulators installed.

Observations: Licensing observed the four Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) playing outdoors at the time of inspection.

Observations: Licensing tested the hot water and observed the temperature to be 54 degrees Celsius in one room. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of the children in care and must be corrected immediately. Licensing observed the hot water turned off at the time of inspection.
