3020 - CCALA 7(1)(b)(i)
Description: A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure the health, safety and dignity of child in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On October 25, 2024, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan stated that a parent signature would be obtained for all minor incident reports. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On December 3, 2024 Licensing conducted a Complaint Follow Up Inspection. No further minor incidents had occurred. Licensee stated that should an incident occur, staff would document the incident and a parent signature would be obtained.

Observations: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the health and safety policy related to parent signatures on minor incident reports was not implemented.
3070 - CCLR 55(2)(a)
Description: A licensee must notify the medical health officer within 24 hours after (a) a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H while under the care or supervision of the licensee,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure the MHO is notified within 24 hours of a reportable incident as described in Schedule H. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On October 25, 2025, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan stated that any use of an emergency restraint would be documented and reported to Licensing. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On December 3, 2024 Licensing conducted a Complaint Follow Up Inspection. No reportable incidents had occurred since the development of the corrective action plan. Licensee stated that any incident described in Schedule H would be reported to Licensing appropriately.
