Description: A licensee must ensure that water accessible to a person in care, from any source, is not heated to more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing checked the water temperature for eleven persons in care's rooms and it was found that out of the eleven, eight room's water temperature was above 49 Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of persons in care and must be corrected immediately. The Manager stated the maintenance staff will look into it and correct the day of. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
3070 - RCR 86(d)
Description: A licensee must keep the following records in respect of each employee: a record of any performance reviews made under section 40 [continuing monitoring of employees] and any attendance at continuing education programs.

Observations: Licensing did an audit of 16 staff files and it was found that 10 out 16 were missing performance review documents.
