Observations: Licensing observed chemical products stored underneath the sink in the Kitchen that were accessible to children. The manager stated that the Kitchen floor had been waxed since Tuesday and that children were not permitted to enter the area. However, during the Routine Inspection, Licensing observed children entering the Kitchen area.
3010 - CCLR 19(1)(a)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person

Observations: Licensing observed a child's medication stored in their backpack. The backpack was left on the floor with other children's backpacks, making the medication accessible to children in care.

Observations: Licensing observed a mouse wandering in the facility hallway. Licensing also observed that the Corrective Action Plan developed in response to the 2024 complaint intake regarding health and hygiene practices was not being followed. The weekly and monthly cleaning checklists were not documented. The manager stated that the weekly cleaning checklist was not prepared for the week of August 3 to 7, 2026.
