Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing observed the water temperature measured 56.4 degrees Celsius this date. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of the children in care an must be corrected immediately. The Manager stated that the educators would support and supervise the children during handwashing until the water has been turned down to no more than 49 degrees Celsius. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
