Description: To qualify for employment in a community care facility as a responsible adult, a person must have completed a course, or a combination of courses, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure a record of a completed course/combination of course of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health & safety or nutrition is kept in staff's file.

Observations: Licensing audited four staff files. Two files were missing a record of a completed course/combination of course of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health & safety or nutrition.
3020 - CCLR 56(1)(c)
Description: A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure a current record is kept for all monthly fire drill.

Observations: Licensing observed the fire drill for November 2024, December 2024, and January 2025 were not recorded. Manager stated that she had performed fire drill, but had not recorded.

Description: A licensee must ensure that safe drinking water is available to children.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure safe drinking water is available to children at all time.

Observations: Licensing observed a corrective action plan for lead in water was not followed. Manager stated they flushed the water for two minutes but did not record it, and children do not drink water from the bathroom.
