Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing measured hot water in Room 1 and Room 2 in the washrooms and in the classroom sinks. The hot water measured 52.4 C and 51.1 C in Room 1 and 55 C in the classroom sink in Room 2. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care. Manager stated all children will be actively supervised during their use of all the sinks upstairs to ensure warm not hot water is being used. The washroom sink in Room 3 measured 42.7. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
