Observations: Licensing observed that chemical cleaners [Saper] were accessible to children in the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) program.
3010 - CCLR 19(4)(a)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a valid certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry

Observations: Licensing audited seven staff files and observed one staff certificate was not verified. The Manager corrected the item during the inspection.
3010 - CCLR 38(b)
Description: If for any reason an employee described in Column 1 of the table in section 37 ceases employment, the licensee must ensure that within 30 days of the date the employee ceases employment, the licensee has sufficient staff to meet the requirements of section 34
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that within 30 days of the day the employee ceases employment there is sufficient staff to meet the requirements of section 34 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

Observations: Licensing observed there were 19 children in care with three staff (ECE, ECEA, RA covering ECEA) in the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) program. Manager stated the ECEA ceased employment since January 2026 and they were covering the position with different substitutes.
There were 10 children with three staff (ECE covering ITE, ECE, ECEA) in the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) program. Manager stated the ITE staff ceased employment since November 2025 and they were covering the position with different substitutes.
This did not meet the minimum requirements of Section 34 and Schedule E, and exceeds the 30 days since the employees ceased employment.
3020 - CCLR 56(1)(c)
Description: A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]
