The corrective action plan included: Staff would be required to attend mandatory professional development series delivered by ECEBC: 'Best Choices: An Ethical Journey Workshop'. The training would be completed by April 22, 2026. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Regarding intake December 1, 2025, through the investigation process, Licensing determined that a staff member behaved disrespectfully toward coworkers on multiple occasions in the presence of children. Licensing confirmed two specific incidents that occurred. One was in the gym (exact date not recalled by staff), and another occurred on December 8, 2025, during which a staff member raised their voice and rolled their eyes at colleagues. The information gathered was consistent across sources and demonstrated conduct that was inappropriate and unprofessional in the child care setting.

The corrective action plan included: The behaviour guidance policy would be updated to include guidance strategies specific to each age group. Staff would be required to attend mandatory training on the updated policy and provide written acknowledgement that they have reviewed and understood it. The training would be completed by March 24, 2026. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Regarding intake December 1, 2025, through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the facility had a policy requiring staff to communicate clearly and set limits with children in a positive manner. Licensing found that a staff member did not set limits in a positive way. The staff member self-reported that they used a 'bear hug' to move a child as a behavioural guidance technique. Using a 'bear hug' to move a child is not consistent with positive guidance or the facility's policy.
