3010 - RCR 37(1)(b)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has obtained all of the following: character references in respect of the person
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure not to employ a person in a community care facility unless character references have been obtained in respect of that person.

Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has obtained all of the following: evidence that the person has complied with the Province’s immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure not to employ a person in a community care facility until evidence of their immunization status has been obtained.

3070 - RCR 77.1(1)(c)
Description: Subject to subsections (2) to (4), a licensee must keep, for each person in care, a record showing the following information: each assessment report, if any, provided under section 22 (1) (c) of the Health Care Consent Regulation.

Observations: Licensing reviewed the records of 5 persons in care. One person in care did not have a copy of the consent to care facility admission.
3080 - RCR 72(b)
Description: A licensee must ensure that a person in care’s medication is returned to the dispensing pharmacy if the expiry date on the medication has passed.

Observations: Licensing audited the medication cart and the medication room. Several expired medications were located in the cart and in the room.
