Description: A licensee must have, and keep with each person in care’s record, consent in writing from the person in care or a parent or representative of the person in care to call a medical practitioner, nurse practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness,

Observations: Licensing reviewed the records of persons in care and two persons in care did not have consent to call medical/nurse practitioner or ambulance.

Description: A licensee must ensure that a person in care’s medication is returned to the dispensing pharmacy the person in care is no longer taking the medication
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure to return medications to the pharmacy if the person in care is no longer taking them.

Observations: Licensing inspected the medication cabinet. There were three medications that were no longer being used by a person in care.
