Description: Height of equipment – Highest play surface as reported by Licensee or observed by LO: for toddlers (12 to 36 months) no more than .9 metres (3 feet) for preschool children (30 months to school age, no more than 1.5 metres (5 feet) for school-age children (attending school) no more than 2.3 metres (7 feet)
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure the highest play surface for school aged children is no more that 7 feet.

Observations: Licensing observed that the round yellow monkey bars measured 7 feet 8 inches and the round purple monkey bars measured 7 feet 2 inches. Manager stated that the children sit on top on the monkey bars. Manager also stated that the children would be directed to no longer sit on top of the monkey bars.

Description: A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing observed children were washing their hands before engaging in snack, and manager also stated that all children were washing their hands before snack time.
Actions Required By Licensing: No further action required; this contravention has been addressed.
