Observations: Licensing observed that the paint on the whole swing set frame was chipping and rusty, which was accessible to children in care.
3000 - CCLR 47
Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure hot water accessible to children does not exceed 47 degrees Celsius.

Observations: Licensing measured the water temperature in two washrooms to be 54 degrees Celsius. This item represents an immediate risk to health and safety and must be corrected immediately. Manager shut the hot water off this date. Licensing remeasured the temperature, which was 19 degrees Celsius.
3030 - CCLR 34(2)(a)
Description: Without limiting subsection (1) a licensee must ensure that children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E, (except FCC/IHMACC/REC; child qualified if in age range or within one month (except GCC School Age)).

Observations: Manager stated that there were up to 27 children who attend the Preschool (30 Months to School Age) program, which exceeds the capacity for this category of care, with 24 expected to attend this date.

Observations: Manager stated that a water filter had been installed for drinking water and that staff had not been following the accepted corrected action plan approved by Licensing to mitigate lead in water.
