3070 - CCLR 57(2)(h)(i)
Description: A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (h) any special instruction respecting the child’s diet, medication, participation in a program of activities, or other matter relevant to the child’s care,given by the child’s parent to the licensee in writing,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that for each child a record showing any special instruction respecting the child's diet, medication, participation in the program or any other matter relevant to the child's care, given by the child's parent to the Licensee in writing is kept. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On October 14, 2025, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: A staff meeting was held on October 10, 2025, to improve record keeping. Staff would use daily a communication book to record any behavioural concerns and meetings with parents. Notes from meetings would be written and signed by both parents and staff. Additionally, any special instruction respecting the child's diet, medication, participation in a program of activities, or other matter relevant to the child's care would be given by the child's parent to the Licensee in writing.
The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Regarding intake August 26, 2025. Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that special instructions relevant to child's care provided by parents were not given in writing. The Licensee stated only verbal agreements had been made and that no documentation of these special instructions was kept.
