Observations: Licensing inspected the facility. Several cupboard doors in the kitchen were missing paint and/or finish, were shifting away from the wall and had exposed particleboard underneath. Remnants of particleboard was observed on the microwave shelf, and above the dishwasher. There were a number of cracks observed in the countertop surface and edging.

Description: A licensee must ensure that a person in care’s medication is returned to the dispensing pharmacy if the expiry date on the medication has passed.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing inspected the medication cupboard and found no expired medications.

Actions Required By Licensing: No further action required; this contravention has been addressed.
