Observations: Licensing observed hot water measuring 50.5 degrees Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. The Manager stated at the time of inspection that children would be supervised and not permitted to handwash without supervision, in order to ensure they had no access to turning the water tap to the hot side until the building owner could adjust the temperature of the hot water. Full compliance will not be achieved until Licensing returns to ensure that hot water does not exceed 49 degrees Celsius.
