Description: A licensee must ensure that water accessible to a person in care, from any source, is not heated to more than 49° Celsius.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure hot water temperature is not hotter than 49 Celsius.

Observations: Licensing tested the temperature of the hot water in three bathrooms persons in care have access too. The temperatures were , which was 54, 51 and 51.5 Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to health and safety of persons in care and must be corrected immediately. The manager notified BC housing via email during the inspection. Program Coordinator stated the employee of BC Housing will follow up with her on Monday to set a date to rectify the water temperature to 49 Celsius. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

Description: A licensee must ensure that all rooms and common areas are maintained in a good state of repair

Observations: Licensing observed damage area (dents, hole) in one of the kitchen cabinet door, the medication door, and person in care's door.

Description: A licensee must provide the following appropriately furnished and equipped areas: secure, safe and adequate storage areas for cleaning agents, chemical products and other hazardous materials
