Description: A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure depth surfacing around 5 feet elevated equipment (composite climber with three slides) has a minimum of six inches of depth surfacing.

Observations: Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP) Safe Play Spaces speaks to depth surfacing around elevated equipment. Licensing measured the depth surfacing under the 5 foot elevated equipment (composite climber with three slides). Depth surfacing measured 2 to 5 inches around the equipment. Licensee stated children will not have access to this equipment until additional depth surfacing is added and Licensing returns to correct this violation.
3010 - CCLR 19(1)(a)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person
