Description: If the child has a care plan that includes instructions respecting behavioural guidance, the licensee must ensure that if the behavioural guidance includes the use of restraints, that the restraints are administered only by a person who is trained in the use of, and alternatives to the use of, restraints.

Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that staff are trained in the use of physical restrain if indicated in care plans for persons in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On February 13, 2026, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: If necessary, and safe to do so, the child may be gently guided away from the group until the situation is safe, parents would be called to pick up, any physical intervention would be documented, safety or care plan would be modified as needed as per policies and procedures. If any restraint was necessary to keep the child, other children or staff safe it would be reported to Licensing. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
