Observations: Licensing toured the facility and observed cleaning supplies in two different locations that were not safely and securely stored.

Description: A licensee must ensure that water accessible to a person in care, from any source, is not heated to more than 49° Celsius.

Corrective Actions Required: Ensure persons in care do not have access to water greater than 49 degrees Celsius.

Observations: Licensing audited two person in care bathrooms. One bathroom had a hot water temperature above 49 degrees Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of persons in care and must be addressed immediately. The Senior Resident Worker contacted the plumber to correct the hot water temperature and posted a warning sign in the bathroom over the sink. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

Observations: Licensing audited three staff files. All did not contain a performance review. Licensing spoke with the Co-Executive Director who stated that the performance reviews had not been completed.
