Observations: Licensing audited eleven persons in cares water temperature, one room had a hot water temperature of 51.3 degrees Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of persons in care and must be corrected immediately. The Manager sent an immediate request to maintenance to have the water temperature lowered. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
3060 - RCR 49(1)
Description: A licensee must require all persons admitted to a community care facility to comply with the Province’s immunization and tuberculosis control programs.

Description: A care plan must include all of the following: if a person in care has been determined to be at risk of leaving a community care facility without notification of an employee, a plan to prevent the person in care from leaving

Observations: Licensing audited eleven persons in care files. One person in care had an assessment for a high risk elopement and did not have a plan in place to prevent the person in care from leaving. One person in care had contradicting information regarding leaving the community care facility without a notification of employee and there was no further care planning around elopement.
