Observations: Licensing observed a child in the playroom while staff was in the nap room [adjacent room], organizing and putting away children's beds. The child was playing next to a pedestal fan that was not secured and was wobbly. The child was not under direct supervision at that time.

Description: A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.

Observations: Licensing observed five portable slides placed directly on concrete. The slides measured between 0.53 cm and 0.63 cm in height and were used by both the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) and Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) programs. The woodchips were unevenly distributed, and there was no depth to form a sufficient surface to reduce risk of injury from falls.

Description: Without limiting subsection (1) a licensee must ensure that children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E, (except FCC/IHMACC/REC; child qualified if in age range or within one month (except GCC School Age)).
