Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing tested one sink where children in the Group Child Care (School Age) program access hot water and the temperature was 55.9° Celsius. This represents and immediate risk to the health and safety of the children in care and must be corrected immediately. Manager stated that a staff member would support children when they wash their hands to mitigate the risk. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
3020 - CCLR 56(1)(c)
Description: A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]

Observations: Licenisng observed that an emergency drill practiced in the Preschool (30 Months to School Age) program had not been recorded and that fire drills practiced by the Group Child Care (School Age) program had not been recorded since October 2023.

Description: Log kept of all inspections, maintenance & repairs
